Santa Neimane describes the effect of diffuse light in canopies

This summer Santa Neimane used the National Plant Phenotyping System to test how scattering sunlight through filters than diffuse radiation affects the growth and photosynthesis of a broad bean crop. Below in this video for ViPS she explains the rationale behind this research.

We recently published an opinion piece in Agricultural & Forest Meteorology assessing research into the effects of diffuse radiation on photosynthesis at the canopy levels in the context of future climate changes and solar radiation manipulation.
