Russian Media Lab is hosting a panel at the BASEES Annual Conference in Cambridge, UK (13-15 April 2018) on the theme of Shaping the News in Russia and (Eastern) Ukraine: From Self Censorship to Algorithms. Chaired by project manager Markku Kangaspuro, our panel comprises the four papers below:

In addition, Russian Media Lab researcher Saara Ratilainen will present a paper on ‘Feminist empowerment and mainstream media in contemporary Russia’ as part of the panel ‘Media representations of Feminism and Sexual Violence in Contemporary Russia and Ukraine’.
