The Viikki e-Learning support network is organizing a training session in English on the Blackboard e-Learning environment. The purpose of this training is to introduce teaching staff to the Blackboard e-Learning environment, teach you how to prepare a course area for teaching and to review some of the tools that are available.

It is intended for teachers with little or no experience of Blackboard, though more experienced teachers are also welcome. The course involves practical work, so please inform us if you do
not have a valid university user account and password. You will also need to obtain a Blackboard course area at least two days before the course. This can either be for a course that you will actually teach or just for practise.

The trainers for the course are Stephen Venn and Outi Nyrönen. Please
contact us if you require further information. Information about Blackboard at the University of Helsinki is available from the web site of the IT department.
