University of Helsinki
Students at the University of Helsinki have access to the Unicafe student restaurants and cafes. The restaurants and cafes can be found on each of the four campuses and all in all there are 18 different restaurants.
The UniCafe company is a part of HYY Group, which is owned by the Student Union of the University of Helsinki.
Most restaurants/cafes are open from about 8:30 or 9:00; lunch is usually served between 10:30 or 11:00 and 14:00 or 14:30. One of the restaurants, Ylioppilasaukio, is open also on Saturdays.
The student discount on the lunch prices is available upon proof of your student status. Before you get your student card, i.e. the Lyyra card, you can prove your student status by showing your certificate of attendance and an ID card/passport.
