What Autonomy is not
What Autonomy is not, (according to David Little)
First – it is not self-instruction or learning without a teacher
Second – it does not forbid intervention or initiative on the part of the teacher
Third – it is not something that teachers DO to learners, i.e., it is not a new method
Fourth – it is not one single easily identifiable behaviour
Fifth – it is not a steady state achieved by learners once and for all |
