This project and the blog is made by me, Báršši Sámmol Hanna, Hanna Ellen Guttorm. My Sámi name tells that I am the daughter of Sámmol from the village Báršši (Reisti) 25 km North from Karigasniemi, on the Finnish side of Teno river valley. I work currently as a senior researcher in Indigenous studies at the University of Helsinki and as a part time associate professor in Sámi teacher education at the Sámi University of Applied Sciences.
