Visualization of newspaper publishing in Finland

 

As said in the description: “This video portrays the rise of newspaper publishing in Finland from 1771 to 1917 according to the site of publication. The first Finnish newspaper was Tidningar Utgifne Af et Sällskap i Åbo, published by the Aurora Society in Turku in 1771. At the time of Finnish Independence in 1917, there were 142 newspapers, published in 53 places all over the country.
