Third wave data collection is in autumn 2018 when Finnish baby boomers (born between 1945 and 1950) their adult children will be surveyed. Gentrans studies contact, support and social ties between kin and friends. The third wave of Gentrans also gathers information about how social relations are maintained via new communication technologies (e.g., Skype, Facebook and smart phones).
First results are available in spring 2019.
