Geo degree programme March board meeting // Geo-koulutusohjelmien maaliskuun johtoryhmäkokous

Finalizing the teaching plan for the next academic year was the major issue at hand in the third meeting of the geoscience degree programme boards on Friday, March 19.

On operative agenda, we heard a brief account of the GEO^2 Winter call student selection process and went through some of the recent communications related issues. Also a working group was established to update and translate common thesis guidelines for use in both programmes and to ensure their accessibility.

Finally, the spring 2021 MSc thesis grant application round was declared open for the next three weeks and applications from supervisors will be invited next week. Decisions on the thesis grants will be made in the April 16 board meeting.

Seuraavan lukuvuoden opetussuunnitelman loppuunsaattaminen oli tärkein aihe perjantaina 19.3. järjestetyn geotieteiden koulutusohjelmien johtoryhmien kokouksen esityslistalla.

Operatiivisella puolella käsiteltiin maisteriohjelman talvihaun vaiheita ja kuultiin lyhyesti viestintään liittyvistä ajankohtaisista asioista. Johtoryhmät asettivat myös yhteisen työryhmän saattamaan molempien koulutusohjelmien tutkielmaoppaat ajan tasalle sekä laatimaan niistä yhteisen käännöksen ja varmistamaan ohjeiden saavutettavuuden.

Kevään tutkielma-apurahojen kolmiviikkoinen hakukausi julistettiin avatuksi ja hakuilmoitus julkaistaan ensi viikon alussa. Päätökset tutkielma-apurahojen saajista tehdään huhtikuun (16.4.) johtoryhmäkokouksessa.
