Sasa Tkalcan

Once upon a time, there was a young student named Sasa who had a passion for languages and culture. He attended the high school Neue Kantonsschule Aarau (NKSA) in Switzerland and later went on to study Finnish language and culture, Folkloristics and Comparative religions at the University of Helsinki.

But Sasa wasn’t just a bookworm, he also had a love for photography and videography. So, he packed his bags and headed to Italy and attended the SRF – Scuola Romana di Fotografia where he studied working with analogue and digital cameras, classic darkroom techniques, studio photography, reportage, and post-processing on a computer.

Sasa’s passion for photography and videography didn’t stop there. He decided to start his own company and began capturing shots from all over Europe.

After graduating in 2004 from the University of Helsinki (MA), he started his working career at his alma mater. Among other posts he worked at the International Exchange Services and the Educational Technology Services team, where he helped plan and produce educational learning material in various modalities, mainly audiovisual for the teaching personnel.

Finally, Sasa joined Global Campus where he was offered the opportunity to use his skills to design the visual aspects of online courses such as MOOCs and creating and producing visual content for their team’s needs. Sasa has finally found a way to combine his love for languages and culture with his passion for the audiovisual and technologies.
