HITP 21-22  is in full swing and the mentoring groups are meeting up both online and in person. We have heard very positive news from many groups!  Meanwhile, we are planning for the next round! Here is the latest:

Four new degree programmes are joining HITP for the 22-23 season:
Life Science Informatics
Genetics and Molecular Biosciences
Microbiology and Microbial Biotechnology
Pharmaceutical Research, Development and Safety

HITP opens for application 15.9.22 and the programme will kick-off 24.11.22.

HelsinkiUni Talent Programme was kicked off on 25.11.2021. This is the start of a 6 month group mentoring journey for 72 mentees and mentors from 9 organizations. The mentees have also had their first career workshop, where we discussed the benefits of mentoring and networking.
The HITP team wishes everybody a joyful Christmas and the very best for 2022!

The application period for the HelsinkiUNI International Talent Programme (HITP) 2021-22 has officially ended and we are very happy to have received so many applications!

There are still some places available, so we have decided to extend the deadline with a week!

The application deadline to enroll in the 2021 HITP has been extended until Monday October 11th of 2021. The application form will close at midnight.

HITP has reopened applications for the following groups:  

AFRY
Crown CRO
City of Helsinki – Urban Environment
University of Helsinki Language Centre
Helsinki Think Company
Metsä Group
Finland-Russia Society

 

We are happy to announce that Metsä Group has joined the group of HITP mentors! Metsä Group is especially reaching out to students from the  Data and Computer Science Programmes  as well as the Intercultural Encounters Programme,  as they wish to focus on  two main themes: ICT-work and DEI (Diversity, Equality and Inclusion).

Because Metsä Group joined the programme  during the application process, it may affect the choice of mentor that applicants have already made. Don’t worry, you can change your mind! If you want to change mentor, this is what to do: 

 Look for the confirmation email you received after registering to HITP. There you will find a link “edit your information”. Go into your application and edit all relevant fields.

The next period of application to the HITP group mentoring programme is 16.9- 3.10.21.  The programme kick-off is scheduled for 25.11.21.

The HelsinkiUNI International Programme will start it’s second round in autumn 2021. We are very excited about it, as more degree programmes and interesting mentors will join!

The first season of HelsinkiUNI International Talent Programme is half-way!
Soon both mentors and mentees will receive an invite to the mid- term meetings, which will be held 25.3. (2 pm for mentors and 4 pm for mentees).
This is a good time to share experiences and reflect on what has been learned so far. See you all soon, you will get the zoom link closer to the date.
