This work package explores the development of populist political parties in their parliaments. It particularly examines how populism is mainstreamed by populist parties once they enter parliament. Furthermore, it explores the reactions of traditional political parties to populism, which may subsequently adopt populist, dichotomous rhetoric or even develop anti-populist responses. The work package particularly addresses the adoption and transformation of populist styles from the perspective of the political parties.
