Greetings from the MYC Conference in Stockholm!✨
Hi there! I’m Martina, an MSc student in University of Helsinki’s program Genetics and Molecular Biosciences with a focus on Molecular and Analytical Health Biosciences. Currently, I’m working on my Master’s Thesis at the well-established Klefström Lab cancer research laboratory at the Faculty of Medicine, UH.
At Klefström Lab, we explore therapeutic intervention strategies related to cancer cell metabolism and apoptosis, with the transcription factor MYC being a key player in our research. So, when the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm announced them hosting a MYC conference during the summer 2024, Klefström Lab answered with sending a huge team of researchers to take part of the conference.
Thanks to the international HiLIFE conference funding, I had the great opportunity to join our delegation and present some of my own data to the leading experts in this field.
