Neighbouring rights

The provisions of Chapter 5 of the Copyright Act cover rights regarded as related to copyright but not quite similar to copyright. Article 45 protects the performing actors rights, Article 49 a protects photographs, which are not considered to be protected by copyright according to Article 1, Article 46 protects producers of sound recordings and Article 48 governs the further transmission of radio- and television programmes.

Article 49 contains provisions for catalogues, table, programmes and databases. Databases may be protected as copyright works according to Article 1 as well. Computer programmes are protected as works according to Article 1. See Copyright protected work.
