Kumous is a student organization founded in 2018 and meant to serve all students of Society and Change at the University of Helsinki. The organization operates to supervise the interests of its students and to organize events. Our goal is to make sure every single one of our students finds their home in Yhmu (the abbreviation of the name of our program in English). Kumous organizes student councelling, excursions, various kinds of activities, cultural events and casual hangouts, where everyone is welcome! Further information on activities organized by us you can find further down under “Toiminta”, but the easiest and most reliable way to keep updated is through subscribing to our mailing list and/or through Kumous’ social media accounts.
We also want to actively make sure Kumous as an organization is anti-discriminatory and eco-friendly. Our organization follows the GDPR.
Anyone who studies in the Society & Change program(s) is more than welcome to become our member! Our board handles all incoming applications manually.
