HiLIFE Trainee activities are planned and operated by the Helsinki Institute of Life Science (HiLIFE) EDU work group. The work group does provide a wide variety of support for all early career levels including PhD students and postdoctoral researchers, but the undergraduate activities such as Research Trainee Scholarships and Conference/Course Grants are most definitely the highlights of our annual operations.
This blog is dedicated on communicating the Trainee experiences to the life science student and researcher communities within the University of Helsinki, and beyond. By no means we are professional writers (at least at the moment 🙂 ), but aim to develop our SciComm skills through writing the blog posts, peer reviews, and workshops in collaboration with The Science Basement (TSB). If you are not familiar with TSB, get to know more here: https://www.thesciencebasement.org/.
