Väitöskirjani A practice approach to experimental governance : Experiences from the intersection of everyday life and local experimentation on nyt saatavilla e-thesis-palvelussa.
Väitöskirjassani tutkin käytäntöteorian (practice theory) näkökulmasta paikallisia, kestävyyteen tähtääviä kokeiluja – kuten sitä, miten ihmiset saadaan käyttämään joukkoliikennettä, tai sitä millaisilla keinoin kouluruokailusta tehdään kestävämpää. Väitöskirjatutkimus nivoo yhteen kokeilevan hallinnan (experimental governance) ja käytäntöjen dynamiikan tutkimussuuntia ja ottaa osaa niin poliittisesti kuin tieteellisestikin ajankohtaiseen keskusteluun kulutuksen ohjaamisesta kestävämpään suuntaan kokeilujen ja interventioiden keinoin. A practice approach to experimental governance
My doctoral dissertation A practice approach to experimental governance: Experiences from the intersection of everyday life and local experimentation is now available at e-thesis.
The dissertation examines local experimentation from a practice theoretical perspective. By doing this, it bridges the gap between two fields of research: one relating to the governance of experiments and the other to the dynamics of practices. In this way the dissertation contributes to the timely issue of steering consumption in a more sustainable direction by utilising experiments and interventions at multiple societal levels – an issue attracting wide interest within both research and policy communities.

Dynamics of experimental governance
The article presents results from a meta-study of 25 articles on experimental climate governance. By conducting a meta-study, we aimed at conceptualising experiments on the basis of their potential functions and uses and illustrating the dynamics and transformative potential of experimental governance.
