Ahoy doctoral candidates in the doctoral programme in social sciences at the University of Helsinki!

On the day before the conference, April 14th at 12-18, you are offered the chance to participate in a PhD seminar hosted by Dr Cristian Tileagă, one of the conference keynotes. Dr Tileagă is head of the doctoral programme in communication and media at Loughborough University, UK. He is specialized in discourse analytical approaches and is a leading figure in research on discrimination, prejudice and racism: https://www.lboro.ac.uk/subjects/communication-media/staff/cristian-tileaga/#tab2

During the seminar you will have the chance a) to discuss your ongoing doctoral research with Dr Tileagă and the other participants, and b) to learn about how to make the most of networking opportunities within and beyond academia. The seminar is designed to be useful for all doctoral candidates in the social sciences. Thus, your research does not need to be related to the teacher’s thematic or methodological areas of expertise.
