Kaarina Mononen

PhD Kaarina Mononen is working as a University Teacher of Finnish language and culture. Earlier she worked at the University of Tampere and University of St. Petersburg. In her doctoral dissertation (2013), she investigated language use among Ingrian Finnish speakers in the area of Saint Petersburg. In her post doc study she will concentrate on interaction among old people, as well as interaction between them and their caretakers. She is interested in how intersubjectivity is constructed between participants in everyday conversations and how they address each other. Her theoretical framework comes from interactional sociolinguistics.
