Renate Pajusalu is a professor of general linguistics at the University of Tartu. She is also a docent of Estonian at the University of Helsinki. She has studied referential means in Estonian but also pragmatic phenomena (e.g. forms of address) of Estonian, Finnish and Russian in her contrastive studies. In this project, she examines address practices in Estonian. She is one of Ninni Jalli’s supervisors.
