HowULearn

The University of Helsinki carries out HowULearn surveys to support students and degree programmes. After a survey has ended, students receive personal feedback containing information on how they study and how other students at the same stage in their degree programme responded to various sections of the survey. The feedback also includes research-based tips that support learning, formulated by senior lecturers in university pedagogy and counselling psychologists.

For degree programmes, the survey app offers a summary of the survey results in terms of both the dimensions measured and individual statements. The dimensions measured are factors important for student progress and performance. By exploring the survey results, degree programmes can develop their teaching to better support student learning and enhance the quality of teaching.
