PETNETS – Orchestrating networks for better pet services

Tekes Petnets -research project aims at finding ways to 1) improve communications between pet owners and sellers of products and services, and thus improve customer service, 2) identify new service business opportunities, and 3) encourage people to become more responsible pet owners. The goal of the project is to create new service business models for Finnish pet industry.

Project duration is two years, 1.1.2013-30.6.2015.

Project budget is about 100 working months.

Project financiers are Tekes – the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation, Aalto University and University of Helsinki along with company partners.

Company partners are Berner LLC, Musti ja Mirri LLC, Orion PLC and LocalTapiola Group.

Project research units are Department of Industrial Engineering and Management / BIT Research Centre at Aalto University School of Science and Department of Economics and Management at University of Helsinki.

International research collaboration is done with following universities: Tokyo Institute of Technology (Japan), Kyoto University (Japan), University of Lyon 2 (France) ja University of Gothenburg (Sweden)
