Survey of Doctoral Student Challenges: Preliminary results

In January, we have submitted a short questionnaire to over 4000 doctoral students at the University of Helsinki in order to identify the major challenges and issues they are faced with in their studies. We have now compiled the data from over 600 respondents and are working on the qualitative analysis of free-form questions asked in the survey. The results will be presented to the vice-rector Keijo Hämäläinen during a meeting with our board members next week and subsequently shared on our blog and with the doctoral schools coordinators and doctoral programmes coordinator. Meanwhile, the plot below will give you an idea of the overall response rate of this survey. If you have any question, do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
