Effective research data management? – DMP to the rescue!

Data management planning (DMP) is too often considered as a burden and bureaucratic procedure. However, the DMP is a useful tool that helps researchers to better prepare for the research process and to identify potential risks. DMP also has significant pedagogical potential, and with DMP’s organizations can develop the infrastructure and services needed to conduct research.

Aineistonhallintasuunnitelma eli DMP on tullut yhä useammalle tutkijalle tutuksi, kun tutkimusrahoittajat ovat alkaneet vaatia DMP-liitettä osana hakemusta. Mutta millainen painoarvo DMP:llä on hakemuksen arvioinnissa? Ja vielä tärkeämpi kysymys: Mitä hyötyä DMP:stä oikeasti on tutkijalle? Millä tavalla se tukee tutkimuksen vastuullista toteuttamista? Näihin ja moniin muihin kiinnostaviin kysymyksiin etsittiin vastausta kansallisen Tuuli-verkoston järjestämässä DMP-työpajassa.
