Helsingin yliopiston avoimen tieteen palkinto jaetaan Open Access -viikolla 26. lokakuuta. Seitsemättä kertaa jaettavan palkinnon tämän vuoden teemana on kansalaistiede, ja ehdotuksia palkinnonsaajaksi otetaan vastaan 29. syyskuuta asti.
Citizen science project to be awarded – submit your nomination for the University of Helsinki Open Science Award by 29 September
The University of Helsinki Open Science Award will be announced during Open Access Week on 26 October, 2023. This is the seventh time the award has been given. This year’s theme is citizen science, and the nominations for the award will be accepted until 29 September.

”As a fundamental concept for helping in open science, the FAIR principle should be brought to the attention of everybody at the university”, writes professor Jaana Bäck in this blog post. For Bäck, following the principles of open science is a natural way of doing research because it improves the impact of her scientific work. ”Open access to the data allows efficient collaboration, co-authorship with researchers from other countries and continents, and overall, larger visibility and impact of the work we do.”
