Researcher, take part in Open Science Workshop in March!

On March 17, the Open Science Coordination in Finland will organize a workshop for researchers on the role of researchers in national cooperation. The Open Science Workshop takes place at the House of Science and Letters (Tieteiden talo), and the registration is open until March 8. Researchers are also welcomed to the Open Science Spring Workshop Day on the same day.

A number of national policies are currently being prepared and approved in the field of open science in Finland, and these policies also affect the daily life of researchers (see also Open Science Annual Review 2019). But is the voice of researchers heard enough? And how could their voices be heard better?

On March 17, the Open Science Coordination in Finland will organize a workshop for all researchers, especially international researchers, at the House of Science and Letters (Tieteiden talo). The Open Science Workshop will look for answers to questions such as:

  • What topics would especially interest researchers in Open Science Coordination?
  • What methods could be used to engage researchers with the Coordination?
  • What procedures Coordination would have to set up for researcher interaction?

Registration is open until March 8. Registration and more information on the workshop from the Open Science Coordination’s webpage.
