Social Ethics

Social Ethics is one of the disciplines within systematic theology in the University of Helsinki’s faculty of theology. In Social Ethics, researchers and students use conceptual analysis to study issues relating to the world and human life.

Social Ethics is divided into four study tracks, namely 1) Conceptual Ethics, 2) Religion and Ethics, 3) History of Social Ethics and 4) Bioethics. However, these fields of study overlap. Cooperation is carried out between tracks, and social ethicists may follow more than one track.
