The production of video material is becoming increasingly important. Cameras are standard in even the cheapest mobile phones and laptops, and “capturing” what happens on the screen of a computer (e.g., computer game sessions or PowerPoint presentations) with or without voiceover is easy as is posting such videos online to viewed by others.

Even in studies, it is increasingly common to have assignments that can also be completed by handing in a video presentation – either as a recording or a live broadcast. Introduction videos are also becoming commonplace as part of recruitment, making the basics of working with video work a very useful skill to have today.
