Information seeking is an essential academic skill that will be refined during your studies. After completing this module, you will master the key basics of scientific information seeking:

• You will be familiar with the different phases of the information seeking process
• You will be familiar with various scientific information sources and information seeking tools
• You will master the basic techniques of information seeking and know how to form search sentences
• You will know how to search for sources of information using Helka
• You will be able to assess the search results and, if necessary, edit your searches
• You will be able to critically assess the sources you find and know what peer review of scientific publications means
• You will master the basis of good scientific practice
